Can we make the Ser Number field "Text Only".

Currently a Serial Number like 123-456 will be read as -333. I understand that I can add an underscore, but doesn't it just make sense to allow the serial number to be entered as it appears on the part?

You can write it between quotes like "123-456".

If you type "alt 255" after it will make a blank space character " ", and won't do the math.

If this type quotes methods for the Serial Number entry is not in the Help menu then Hexagon should add this to the Help Menu.

This issue is fixed in PC-DMIS v2017 R1. When you try this new version of PC-DMIS, if you disagree that this is fixed, please provide your comment here. Thanks
