Thickness of profiles

The ability to dimension the distance of irregular shaped grooves and contours when using scans.  For example, a rectangular O ring groove with scans on both surfaces. The ability to select two opposing scans and get the distance.

Hi, thank you for your idea. We are currently looking into a Thickness Gage and I would be interested in understanding the exact requirements.

For example, Would you like the ability to select anywhere on the cad and report the thickness at that location, Report Max/Min thickness, Report Thickness at every Nominal point, Report Thickness at a specific Gage Distance?
