You can place the icon yourself by customizing the toolbars that are available in PC-DMIS. To do so, right click in the toolbar are and access the toolbar dialog.
I agree. This icon should be included on Path toolbar since it is part of the logical workflow. Of course users can add any icon to any toolbar but, in this case, I don't think they should have to. This is an easy fix I would think.

Add the Collision Detection to the Path Pulldown Toolbar.
