ON SCREEN JOG BOX TO ELIMINATE THE NEED OF PICKING UP THE CONTROLLER

Albert 6 months ago in Hardware / Coordinate Measuring Machines updated by Neil Challinor 1 month ago 2

I would like to have the control to have the same functions of the jog box on my computer screen so that if I get a crash and I'm nowhere near the CMM I can remote onto the computer move the probe away from the crash, edit my program and continue it. This would also be great for those of us that have large CMM's so that we don't need to go to the opposite end of the machine to grab the jog box just to move a probe a few thousandths away from the part.

Add lights to the probe head.

JOG A-XIS & B-AXIS ON CONTROLLER

This function would be great to have the ability to find  the perfect angle for difficult and complex orientations. being able to control the A-Axis & B-Axis with the jog box would eliminate the need to always rely on the Auto Wrist function or to select from the grid  until you finally choose the correct angle.

5 AXIS CMM HEAD

THAO HUYNH 2 years ago in Hardware / Coordinate Measuring Machines updated by neil.kay 6 months ago 0

it seems that many CMM software supporting 5 AXIS CMM HEAD for example PH20 from Renishaw. it would be nice that PH20 can run on PC-DMIS.

Jog Box

CMMs need the option to have wireless jog boxes. I trip over the cord all the time and wheel over it with my chair.

Probe Shank alarm

Gene 3 years ago in Hardware / Coordinate Measuring Machines updated by neil.kay 6 months ago 0

For metal parts while using metal Probe shanks.

Create an alarm that tells the programmer and/or operator that the probe has shanked out.

A simple conductivity sensor would make this work on existing CMMs and new CMMs.

Turn off machine servos function

Al Metzel 3 years ago in Hardware / Coordinate Measuring Machines updated by neil.kay 6 months ago 0

A function to allow the program to turn off the machine servos would be very useful as operators often forget to do so when exiting an inspection program. This was an option in MeasureMax.

Probe head B angles only

Bill Kulpa 6 months ago in Hardware / Coordinate Measuring Machines updated by neil.kay 6 months ago 0

This is a hardware request only.

I'd like to have a probe head with only B angles for rotation of star probes.

Motorized probe magazine

Bill Kulpa 1 year ago in Hardware / Coordinate Measuring Machines updated by ALBERT706 2 months ago 4

Develop a motorized probe magazine much like every machining center has.

That way it could be mounted in the dead space at the end of the Y axis of most machines.

When a probe change is needed PC-DMIS would move the machine to a predetermined point for that port, the port would extend to the Z rail and unload or load a new probe. This would allow better use of the measuring envelop and enable use of that dead space at the end of the machine.
